Product Enquiry Buttons privacy policy

Product Enquiry Buttons ("the app", "we") is an app for Wix stores that adds Make an offer, Ask a question and Request a price buttons to product pages. This policy explains what data the app uses and why. The store owner decides how offers, questions and requests are answered and is responsible for the shoppers' data in their store. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Data from shoppers

• When a shopper makes an offer, the app stores their email address, the offered price, an optional message, the options they selected (like size or color), the product, the time and the shopper's language.
• When a shopper asks a question, the app stores their name, email, phone number if the store asks for it, the question and the options they selected, together with the product, the time and the shopper's language.
• When a shopper requests a price, the app stores their name, email, phone number if the store asks for it, the quantity and an optional message, together with the product, the time and the shopper's language.
• All of this is stored in data collections on the store's own Wix site, not on servers of ours, and only the store owner and the store's collaborators can see it in the app dashboard.
• The app uses this data only to pass the offer, question or request to the store owner and, for offers, to send the shopper the store's answer by email. The app does not send marketing emails. Questions and price requests are answered by the store owner directly.
• The personal payment link for an accepted offer is stored only as a one-way hash.
• To limit spam, the app counts recent offers, questions and requests by email and product. It does not use captcha, cookies or tracking.

Data from store owners

• Settings (where each button shows, chosen products, products on request, form fields and alert switches) are stored in a data collection on the site's Wix account. They are public, because the buttons on product pages need them. Minimum prices and automatic answers for offers are stored in a separate collection that visitors can't read.
• The app reads product names, links, prices, variants and stock from the store catalog (Read Products), instead of trusting what the visitor's browser sends. It creates checkouts for accepted offers and checks the cart and checkout so that products on request can't be bought (Manage eCommerce). It reads orders to mark offers as ordered (Read Orders).
• When a new offer, question or request arrives, the app can send a notification to the store owner through Wix (Manage Notifications): the dashboard and the Wix app, with the product and the shopper's name or the offered price.
• The app reads the site owner's email address from Wix (Read Site Owner Email) and sends the owner an email about each new offer, question and request through Wix Email Transmissions (Manage Email Marketing). The offer email includes the shopper's email, the offered price and the selected options. The question email includes the shopper's name, email, phone if given, selected options and the question, and its Reply-To is the shopper's email, so a reply goes to the shopper. The price request email includes the shopper's email and the quantity, but not their name or message. The app does not store the owner's address. The store owner can turn off the emails and the notifications separately in the app settings.
• Emails to shoppers about their offers (accepted, countered or declined, with the personal payment link) are sent through Wix Email Transmissions and use the site's email balance.
• The app reads the app plan from Wix and stores only whether a plan is active and when this was last checked, so product pages know whether to show the buttons. It also stores the language of the owner's dashboard to write the owner's emails in that language.
• If you ask Aria about offers, questions or price requests, the app returns settings, counts and the latest offers of the current site to Aria inside Wix: product name, prices, status and dates. Shoppers' names, emails, phones, messages and payment links are not included. Aria can only read, not change anything.

We do not use cookies or browser storage, we do not track visitors, we do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.

Where data is processed

The app runs on Wix hosting, and data stays in the site's Wix account. Emails are sent through Wix. Wix acts as our service provider. If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you.

Retention, access and deletion

Offers, questions and requests stay on the site until the store owner deletes them in the app dashboard. The app has no automatic deletion period. Copies of emails stay in the mailboxes they were sent to. Store owners can delete any offer, question or request at any time, and should do so when a shopper asks. Shoppers should contact the store first. Removing the app takes the buttons off the site; Wix may keep or delete the app's data collections under its own rules.
