Vinted Profile Badge privacy policy

Vinted Profile Badge ("the app", "we") is an app for Wix sites that shows the site owner's Vinted profile in a badge: shop name, star rating, number of reviews and a Follow on Vinted button. This policy explains what data the app uses and why. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Data from site visitors

The app does not collect or store personal data about visitors. To show the badge, the visitor's browser asks the app's server on Wix for the badge, and the server sends back only what the badge shows: the shop name, the profile link, the rating, the number of reviews and the look settings. Visitors' browsers do not contact Vinted until a visitor clicks the name or the Follow button; then Vinted's own page opens under Vinted's privacy policy.

Data from site owners

• The app stores, in a data collection on the site's own Wix account and not on servers of ours: the Vinted profile link, the name for the badge, the look settings (layout, colors, theme, size, which parts to show) and, if the owner enters them, a rating and number of reviews to use when Vinted does not answer.
• In the same collection the app stores public data from the owner's Vinted profile: the Vinted username (login), the star rating, the number of reviews, whether reviews are hidden on Vinted, and when they were read. It also stores the app plan and the app instance ID read from Wix, and when they were checked.
• The app reads only the public Vinted profile at the link the owner enters, the same page anyone can open. It does not log in to Vinted and never asks for a Vinted password or account connection. The request comes from Wix servers, about once a day and when a new link is saved. Vinted's site requires a session cookie for this; the app gets it from Vinted, sends it back only with that request and does not keep it.
• If you ask Aria about your badge, the app returns the badge details and update status of the current site to Aria inside Wix. Aria can only read, not change anything.

We do not use cookies or browser storage on your visitors' devices, we do not track visitors, we do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.

Where data is processed

The app runs on Wix hosting, and data stays in the site's Wix account. Wix acts as our service provider. If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer you.

Retention, access and deletion

Settings stay on the site until the site owner changes them in the app. Profile data is replaced at each update; data older than 30 days is not shown, and it is removed when the owner changes the link or the Vinted profile no longer exists. Removing the app takes the badge off the site. Wix may keep or delete the app's data collection under its own rules. To ask a question about your data, email us.
